"As I enter my 30th year in the material handling
business--and Kensar’s 10th year in 2005--I am both
satisfied with the past and super-excited about the future.
I was fortunate enough to work for two of the top forklift
truck dealers in the country, serving in almost every
job within a dealership from the parts department to general
manager. The large size of these dealerships sometimes
made it hard to be responsive to customer needs and problems.
I started Kensar Equipment with the idea that we can specialize
in supplying used equipment to all businesses from start-ups
to Fortune 500 companies, and we can also be responsive
at the same time. When a customer buys from Kensar, they
deal directly with the owners. When they have a problem,
they deal directly with the owners. This way, most issues
are resolved immediately.
It is my belief that customers care less about
the vendor’s “bricks and mortar”
and more about the quality of equipment and getting
top value for each dollar spent. Our focus is
to provide great value in local, regional and
national markets. I think customers appreciate
this—and that’s why we’ve sold
over $16 million in forklifts and industrial equipment
without using outside sales reps. Instead, we
relied on the quality of our equipment and ‘word
of mouth’ referrals to grow our sales.
Thank you for considering Kensar Equipment for
your next rental or used equipment purchase. Please
feel free to call me if you have any questions.”

“When we formed Kensar Equipment ten years
ago, we set out three cornerstones for the business:
To deal honestly with each customer; to provide
quality equipment; and to make it simple to do business
with us.
Ken and I had known each other and worked together
for many years before Kensar Equipment was formed.
My material handling background in parts, rental,
and operations with two of the Midwest’s
largest dealers--and Ken’s thirty years
in the business--complemented one another. Because
we shared the same business concepts and goals,
we quickly developed a team of experienced and
dedicated employees and vendors who shared the
same key business principle as Kensar: Keep it
simple to do business with us.
This premise helped us gain a strong foothold
in the Indianapolis market. From this foundation,
we developed economical ways to expand our customer
base nationally. Indianapolis is a natural distribution
hub which makes it easy to ship our forklifts
and aerial lifts cost-effectively to any location
nationwide.
We hope you’ll call or e-mail us, and put the
Kensar team to work for your company. We look forward
to providing personalized, professional services to
our existing customers--and growing with our new customers.”
